Charlie Duval is prominent Aboriginal athlete, Australia's best hope for an Olympic field events gold metal. So, what is he doing in an American prison charged with a double murder? Charlie dismisses his American lawyer, and the situation seems bleak. Then Sadie Fergurson, LLB, comes into his life, and Charlie discovers that she too is Australian. As Sandie fights to save the man she has always admired, the powerful forces at work beneath the surface of their lives burst out.
